Biography
Kimihiko Okazaki was born in Osaka in 1933 and he completed his graduation from Kyoto University Faculty of Medicine in 1959. He engaged in Medical Chemical research from April 1960 to July 1981. He started engaging in Internal Medicine in July 1981. Then he started running a private medical clinic in September 1989. Main achievements are as follows: 1. Discovery of a novel coenzyme of thiamine pyrophosphokinase in Baker’s yeast. 2. Identification of initiator of rat liver regeneration as biliverdin. and 3. Discovery of a novel and complete cure-method for allergic and autoimmune diseases.
